You’re welcome to pop in and we will show you around our wonderful Victorian-Style Theatre. Guided Tours 11am & 1:45pm. Tearoom will be open selling lunches and cakes! The Antiques, fabric and book sale is also on the same day, in the tearoom. Puppet shop, gardens and our own car park on site.
We are the last permanent puppet theatre in Scotland, so we are at risk. We rely on tickets sales and donations only to keep going, as we have no regular funding. The Arts are having a tough time at the moment.
Guided tours at 11am and 1:45pm.

Event Details
We are a Lodge of Freemasons, one of the oldest in Scotland. We are celebrating our 300th Anniversary in July 2027. Our building in the High Street houses our Masonic temple, which was laid out as it is today in 1814; the room itself has many many artefacts and memorabilia very important to the history of Freemasonry in General and Biggar in particular.
For Doors Open Days we are welcoming visitors in to view artefacts and memorabilia with members on hand to answer any questions.

Event Details
The present Biggar Kirk is around 500 years old and reflects our Christian heritage and culture dating back to the crucifixion and resurrection of Christ and with much older roots in Judaism. ‘Windows to the Past’ is a splendid phrase for us because our windows are an exciting feature. Our ultimate purpose is a door to the future with a new Heaven and a new Earth!
Our splendid building will be open and manned for Doors Open Days so that the public may view the inside, including the beautiful stained glass windows. The person on duty will endeavour to answer visitors’ questions.
